Audra Kirsten, biomedical photographer, studied at Rochester Institute of Technology where she earned a specialized degree in photography. Using a microscope to photograph menthol and cholesterol acetate crystals under polarized light, Audra captures natural subjects, reminiscent of fractal geometries. These crystals reveal striking contrasts of chaos and order in their fragmented structures—graphical elements, invisible to the naked eye!
